Marylanders are eligible for for financial aid because of Hurricane Isabel. Federal assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs and for low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses.
The areas affected by the President's order include the
city of Baltimore and the counties of Allegany, Anne Arundel,
Baltimore, Calvert, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester,
Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince
George's, Queen Anne's, Somerset, St. Mary's, Talbot, Washington,
Wicomico and Worcester.
Damage surveys are continuing in other areas, and more counties and additional forms of assistance may be designated, according to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
